From the morning walk

From the morning walk

Took a walk along Fish River Tuesday. Came across this and thought of Chad and Patti.

All these sixes make me jittery whenever I’m in the south.

But the Mardi Gras bows, now those cheer me.

What can I say? It’s so classic Alabama I simply had to share it with you.

Brambles, vines and ghosthouses. Yes. Flannery’s south still remains. (You’ll have to excuse the pun in light of the previous photo.)

Imagine stepping through this in the middle of a dark night.

We simply don’t have these in sagebrush country.

Or these.

Where the river runs into the sky.

And even Sonny’s boats climb the trees, antsy for the sounds of summer.
