Prayers for Eleanor & family

I consider this blog a community and I hope you do as well. So it is with a prayer that I tell you that Eleanor lost her mother yesterday after an unexpected illness:

O merciful Father, who hast taught us in the holy Word that thou dost not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men. Look with pity upon the sorrows of thy servant for whom our prayers are offered. Remember Eleanor and her family, O Lord, in mercy, nourish their souls with patience, comfort them with a sense of thy goodness, lift up thy countenance upon them, and give them peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (Book of Common Prayers)
