Blogging’s been light over at Chez Schiffer in the last week!
That’s because I’ve been a bit of an itinerant–not traveling the globe, like fellow Patheosi Lisa Hendey who’s recently home from Tanzania and Hawaii, but moving around the South, with stops in Atlanta, Georgia and Greenville, South Carolina.

In Atlanta, I visited the set of the upcoming movie “90 Minutes in Heaven” which is scheduled to hit theaters next Fall. The movie is based on Don Piper’s best-selling book by the same name. I’ll tell you more about the movie later, as filming winds down. Right now I’ll tell you that a good time was had by all!
I enjoyed dinner with my fellow writers, and posed for a picture with friend and fellow blogger Lisa Hendey….
I met a lot of other writers, and a lot of folks involved with the movie. And I promise, I’ll be talking about it soon!

And in the Greenville area, I spent a few delightful days with our son, an architect who moved South after his college graduation. We played a lot of card games, drove around the countryside, attended Mass in the Extraordinary Form at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Oh–and while in town, I savored a cup of tea with this fellow:
My friend and fellow Patheos blogger, Fr. Dwight Longenecker. Thank you to the Longeneckers for making me feel welcome at their home.
Now, it’s back to the frozen North…. and back to work!
