Mueller Indicts Stone

Mueller Indicts Stone January 26, 2019

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s 24-page document charging Roger Stone, filed with the court yesterday, says a senior White House official was told to contact Roger Stone to try to get Hilary Clinton emails from Julian Assange of Wikileaks fame, who afterwards did release such emails. The big question is, Who is the person in the White House who ordered a senior official to do that? It looks as though Mueller is holding back that answer and that it may be President Trump. Why? Mueller perhaps was doing so because of the unsettled question of whether or not a sitting U.S. president can be indicted. At any rate, this gets closer to the inside ring in the Trump White House.

As I said months ago in a blog post, I think Trumpgate is going to make Watergate look like a Sunday school picnic.
