Defending champion Patrick Cantlay won the BMW Championship today in Wilmington, Delaware, by one stroke over Scott Stallings. The leaders were jockeying for position that back nine until Cantlay broke loose with a birdie-par finish for a two-under par 69 and a 72-hole total of 268. Once again, the PGA Tour provided more excitement than the competing LIV Golf series.
Scottie Scheffler’s third place finish makes him the leader with a two stroke advantage in the FedEx Cup going into that grand finale playoff series next week on the PGA Tour when the Tour Championship will be staged in Atlanta at Eastlake.
