The “Horrible City” Awaits the Arrival of Donald Trump

The “Horrible City” Awaits the Arrival of Donald Trump June 14, 2024

Donald Trump visited Washington D.C. this week for the first time since he, as president, inflicted its Capitol with an insurrection on January 6, 2020, due to losing reelection weeks earlier, and departed the place in haste and a huff two weeks later, on Inauguration Day. It is being reported by various sources that Trump met with a group of House Republicans and said to them, “Milwaukee, where we are having our convention, is a horrible city.” He meant the Republican National Convention that will be held in Milwaukee on July 15-18. It will begin three days after Judge Juan Merchan will announce his decision about sentencing Trump for the 34 felony crimes that the Manhattan jury found him guilty for on May 30th.

When this Milwaukee remark got out publicly, Donald Trump’s political campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung–who spouts rhetoric like Trump does by constantly saying “Crooked Joe Biden–put a very interesting spin on his boss’s Milwaukee assessment by saying, “He was talking about how terrible crime and voter fraud are.” Yet there has been no reporting that Trump mentioned that with this remark.

So, I expect that when Donald Trump arrives in Milwaukee for the convention that will recognize him as the Republican nominee for the presidential election this November, there will be billboards around the city that will read something like this:

Donald Trump

Welcome to the “Horrible City”

which now has 34 more crimes

It will be further humiliation for a guy who sells Bibles that say of people like him:

“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).

“When pride comes, then comes disgrace” (Proverbs 11:2).

“A false witness will not go unpunished, and a liar will not escape” (Proverbs 19:5).

“Do you see persons wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for fools than for them” (Proverbs 26:12).

“Every word of God proves true” (Proverbs 30:5).

It’s all in my book, Bible Predicts Trump Fall. Kirkus Reviews says of it, “A persuasive, well-argued case against Trump by a prominent evangelical.”
