Ego-Maniac Trump Is Angry To Not Get The Nobel Peace Prize

Maria Corina Machado Wins Nobel Peace Prize

Yesterday, Venezuela’s political opposition leader Maria Corina Machado was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. U.S. President Donald Trump had been speaking out in recent weeks about how he is qualified to win that award and relating things he had done to deserve it. He is obsessed with doing this partly because President Barack Obama, who he seems to hate, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.

What an ego-maniac Donald Trump is by overtly and often campaigning for the Nobel Peace Prize and then expressing his anger for not getting it. Folks, that just isn’t normal behavior. Republican Trump’s MAGA crowd are so blind to what a healthy human psyche is by approving of such behavior.

Trump Is a Classic Narcissist in Need of Help

So much of Trump’s behavior, such as this, shows that he is a classic narcissist and perhaps a sociopath in need of psychiatric treatment. That’s what his friend and media personality Howard Stern said to him years ago. One of the most damaging effects of such ill behavior by the nation’s president is that it sets an unprecedented standard for Americans about what is an acceptable way to act. Donald Trump is the most boastful person and the biggest liar I’ve ever seen. In his first presidency, he was always saying whatever it is, he could fix it. As soon has he gained the Oval Office again, he started wearing a cap and passing them out with a slogan on them that said, “Trump Was Right About Everything.”

Trump Should Read that Bible He Sells

The wisdom literature of the Bible has much to say about people like that. I’ve blogged a lot about Trump’s lying. Here is more about his boasting. Proverbs 27.2 says, in the NRSV, “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth.” And Proverbs 26.12 says, “Do you see persons wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for fools than for them.” And Proverbs 27.21 says, “A person is tested by being praised.” And despite how prestigious the Nobel Peace Prize it, it is not as great as being awarded a prize by God. Proverbs 15.33 says, The fear of the LORD is instruction in wisdom, and humility goes before honor.”

If you say I should shut up, well, I believe like Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker says, that every American should do whatever part he or she can in standing up and being counted for speaking truthfulness, and I would add while displaying humility, in an effort to preserve our democracy.

Stand Up and Be Counted for Our Democracy

As I state in my book, Bible Predicts Trump Fall, from the very beginning of Donald Trump’s campaigning for the U.S. presidency in 2016, I was questioning if he believed in democracy. And I was writing about that in my blog. As it turned out I was right—Trump believes in a dictatorship, with him as the dictator. If we Americans don’t speak out against this, especially when we cast our ballots at elections, we will lose our democracy because of people like Donald Trump.

The Qualifications for the Nobel Peace Prize

I think the main qualification for the Nobel Peace Prize is that the winner should be a person of peace. Donald Trump is not a man of peace. He talks so degradingly about many people. And now as president he is doing something no U.S. president has ever done by using the Department of Justice to try to indict, convict, and jail his political opponents, even men like Republican John Bolton who once worked for his as his National Security Advisor.

Jorgen Watne Frydnes, chairman of the Nobel Committee that determines the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, felt pressured by Trump, his MAGA crowd, and thus the media, to speak out about why Trump was not awarded the prize. He said pretty much only this—”We base only our decision on the work and the will of Alford Nobel.”

But another important point is that the deadline for accepting nominees for the award this year was January 31st, only eleven days after Trump was re-inaugurated as president, and he had been campaigning for the award by bragging about what he had done this year to deserve it, all of which was after the deadline. That reminds me of Trump and his some of his acclaimed golf awards. He has claimed to have won golf club championships while playing his round after the competition had been finished.
