U.S. President Donald Trump spoke to the nation this evening in nearly 20-minute prepared speech that was mostly about the present war in unprovoked Iran which Israel and the U.S. have jointly waged for nearly five weeks. It was another typical braggamonia speech of the narcissist, with constant superlatives such as “never been anything like it” and “which no one has ever seen before” concerning his actions.

Trump Chastises Europe for Not Aiding His War

In the past several days of the war, as he did tonight, President Trump has chastised European nations for not supporting the U.S. in this war such as by allowing it to use Europe military bases and airfields. European leaders who have made these decisions say that they do not approve of this war and were not alerted beforehand or consulted about it. That is certainly a legitimate reason to not aid the U.S. in this war, even as a NATO member.

Indeed, if President Trump would have done that or even broached Congress about it in advance, which many of its members say he should have done, both would have rejected the idea. Trump likely had that figured out, and that’s why he didn’t do it. So, Trump chastises Europe for not aiding in this war effort is deceptive.

Which side is winning this war? Yes, Israel and the U.S. have done much damage to Iran in this war. But many experts say Iran’s goal was to survive and effectively close the Strait of Hormuz to especially oil tanker shipments out of the Persian Gulf. Iran has succeeded in doing both. And it has attacked military sites of Gulf neighboring states that especially the U.S. has used in attacking Iran. All of this has achieved Iran’s objective in causing the price of oil and natural gas to go sky high, at times twice the price right before the war started, thus only five weeks ago.

Trump Said “We Don’t Need the Strait”

During this war, President Trump has made many conflicting remarks about it. For example, he asked for Europe’s military aid, mostly in the form of the U.S. using European military bases, and then said the U.S. didn’t need it. He said Europe should help force the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and then said, “We don’t need the Strait of Hormuz,” meaning the U.S. doesn’t need it to be opened. That is quite debatable. Moreover, it is Trump who needs the Strait to be opened.

Nothing causes Americans to vote against the party in power more than the price of gasoline going up, which it is doing. In just five weeks of this war, throughout the country it has gone up over 30%, from about $2.90 per gallon to $4.00 or more per gallon. And even though the U.S. is now energy self-sufficient, the price of gasoline in every country, including the U.S., is affected by world markets. Therefore, the closing of the Strait of Hormuz is the main thing that has caused the price of American gasoline to surge. So, Trump saying the U.S. doesn’t need the Strait to open is a big lie since, if he causes Republicans to lose the midterm elections, the Democratic Party will turn on Trump big time, reviving previous lawsuits against him that could put him behind bars!

Let’s just start with the assault on the nation’s Capitol on January 6, 2021. A judge just ruled today that eight lawsuits now combined cannot be thrown out of court due to the Supreme Court ruling in favor of Trump about immunity from lawsuits. But the judge ruled that Trump’s speech that day at the Ellipse that caused the riot is not immune because it was only a political rally and not doing the president’s business.

Is Trump Causing GOP to Lose House & Senate?

Trump is polling lower than ever, and it keeps getting worse for him month after month. Midterm elections are in November, and many election analysts are predicting that because of Trump is doing, most first with his tariffs and now this war, he is dragging down the Republican Party so that the Democratic Party will pry both the House and Senate majorities away from it in November, making Trump a lame duck president and a disgrace to his political party.

Trump also said this weekend that his “favorite” desire is to “take the oil,” meaning take over Iran enough with military boots on the ground there to take control of its oil industry and effectively “steal” their oil. And mind you, this is the president of the United States of America talking!

Trump Doesn’t Believe in Our Democracy

IMO, Donald Trump is a jerk and an embarrassment to this country. Among other things, he doesn’t believe in our democracy at all! I’ve been blogging this opinion of mine repeatedly ever since his first year in the White House, and it’s in my book, Bible Predicts Trump Fall.

Trump blames Europe. He threatened again in his speech tonight to withdraw the U.S. from NATO. That’s the main thing his buddy and dictator of Russia, President Vladimir Putin, wants from Trump. Why does Trump praise Putin so much and is so against NATO, the greatest alliance ever in the history of the world. I think it’s because Donald Trump has been a Russian asset for decades.

That’s my take: Trump is deceptive in choosing and talking up this war. What’s yours?
