Fake President!

Fake President! 2020-03-07T18:37:04-07:00

U.S. President Donald Trump’s several recent, public statements about the spreading “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated COVID-19 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention=CDC) is just further proof of what I’ve been writing on my blog every since he campaigned for the U.S. presidency (maybe 150 posts until now) that he is unqualified to be president of this nation. Since he constantly and unjustly, in my opinion, berates the media by calling it “FAKE NEWS,” I’m now calling him a FAKE PRESIDENT.

But from now on, I’m going to try to restrict myself from blogging about him. Why? He’s not worth my time, being the worst president in my lifetime. So, this may be my last post about him until the election late this year.

As I have blogged many times, I believe Donald Trump presents himself as a classic case of narcissism. Thus, when he speaks, it’s all about him. And he is a pathological liar. Thus, he is not a man to be trusted with what he says. He therefore is an embarrassment to me as president of my country. Donald Trump is a mentally sick man. I believe he has needed psychological or psychiatric counseling all of his life. He should first take multiple psychological tests to find out. Then he should get help.

In only three plus years as president, Trump has the highest turnover in his cabinet of any president in modern history. Sometimes, the reality TV star who popularized the phrase “you’re fired,” fires his staff members and only inserts an “acting” person. For Trump, it’s all about loyalty–not loyalty to America, as he would like us to believe, but loyalty to himself. Praise and adulation is the constant need, and sign, of a narcissist.

But, of course, I believe the best thing Donald Trump could do for himself and others is to have a profound, emotional experience in which he truly sees who he is, confesses his sins, and turns to true faith in God, resulting in a profound change of personality. Up until now, Donald Trump has not shown any guilt or shame or admitted that he has been wrong. Rather, he does not believe in any of that.

It has been well documented that Donald Trump’s chief mentor in his life, Roy Cohn, contributed greatly to Trump’s mindset regarding a lack of personal guilt and shame. That is the exact opposite of a person who truly turns to God. As president, Trump acknowledges the existence of the God of the Bible, the God worshipped by Christians and Jews, if not Muslims. And he has several people in his presidential cabinet, and other advisors, who are professing Christians. Yet, so far Donald Trump only reveals that he intellectually acknowledges God without truly knowing him in “his heart,” as many Christians would say. People who truly know God have both a sense of their failure to live perfectly according to God’s commandments, yet I think they still exhibit in their behavior some degree of transformation toward true righteousness. That is, there is a difference between profession and possession of the real thing.

Donald Trump does not do this because, first of all, he does not know who is. Since he has been president, he has stated multiple times that he is “a stable genius.” That is a plain sign of narcissism. I have personally known some narcissistic people. But Donald Trump may be the most fully narcissistic person I’ve ever seen on television.

President Trump stated at his nomination address at the 2016 Republican National Convention, “I know the system,” referring to how our federal government works, which he identified as “deep state.” Then he added, “I alone can fix it.” Like his “stable genius” proclamation, such statements reflect a grandiose sense of self-importance, which is a prominent sign of narcissism. It is a fool who talks this way. The Bible says, “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth” (Proverbs 27.2; NRSV and hereinafter).

President Trump has sometimes made public statements for which he was highly criticized, and then he walked them back by claiming he was only joking, which often looks suspicious. The Bible strongly denounces such behavior, saying, “Like a maniac, who shoots deadly firebrands and arrows, so is one who deceives a neighbor and says, ‘I am only joking'” (Proverbs 26.18-19).

In fact, the Bible even says to ignore fools, as if they are not worth addressing with plain talk. For the biblical sage declares, “Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, who will only despise the wisdom of your words” (Proverbs 23.9). But what if this fool is our duly elected president of our nation? I think he needs to be found out so that he no longer remains in that position when it is time for our democratic republic to decide.

Concerning the currently-spreading corona virus, Trump first said it was a hoax perpetrated by the media and the Democrats. Then he blamed former President Barack Obama for it due to his response to the Ebola crisis in 2014.

Last week, President Trump stated publicly about this corona virus, “It’s going to disappear. One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.” I wonder if that comes from Paula White. Trump has been a fan of this Pentecostal televangelist, who trumpets the so-called “health and wealth gospel,” which I think is false teaching. Trump chose her to deliver a speech at his presidential inaugural address, and he declared her last November officially as his “spiritual advisor.” A lot of Pentecostal leaders are big on uttering prophecies about the future and believing that whatever they think or say is gospel that comes directly from God.

This week, President Trump met with his Coronavirus Task Force. It includes several medical experts. One of their main objectives is to eventually create a vaccine for this particular disease. So, Trump asked them, “You take a solid flu vaccine. You don’t think that would have an impact, or much of an impact, on corona?” Oh, as if they haven’t thought of that! It is such things that come from this guy’s mouth that cause me conclude, to put it starkly, “Trump Is Dumber than a Stick.” His Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, who had been the CEO of the biggest corporation in the world for many years, Mobil Exxon, did call Trump privately “a moron.” And when Tillerson was later confronted about this multiple times, he never really denied saying it.

Obviously, I hope that our nation only has to put up with this FAKE PRESIDENT for a few more months instead of years. (And I have voted Republican all my life until recently.) But I’m going to try not to belabor this point any longer.
