Day of the #LittleWay Takes Twitter by Storm of Roses

Day of the #LittleWay Takes Twitter by Storm of Roses February 4, 2014

If you’re a Catholic on Twitter, do me a favor:

Leave this post, and go immediately over to Twitter to use hashtag #LittleWay to share your small (or humongous) stories of faith.

Then you’re welcome to come back here and to read the rest of this post.

Why are you seeing #LittleWay so much on social media today? It’s actually an intentional campaign being spearheaded by our friends at Image Books to celebrate not only the life and spiritual teachings of St. Therese of Lisieux, but also the launch of the late Bishop Patrick Ahern’s final book, Three Gifts of Therese of Lisieux.

I love Twitter, and I love the “Little Flower” (who was featured in one of my favorite chapters of my Book of Saints). So a combination of the two during a daylong celebration of faith and love is a true blessing. I was invited by my friends at Image to film a short recording for this day – be forewarned, it’s extremely homemade, but filmed with the best of intentions!

I’d love to hear from you your thoughts about St. Therese, but also about the idea of using social media to advance spiritual messages. Are we preaching to the choir, or is a day like today an opportunity to reach folks right where they are and perhaps to serve those most in need of love and support?

Be sure to head over to CatholicMom.com for a chance to win Bishop Ahern’s book!
