What Did God Say OK Looks Like?

What Did God Say OK Looks Like? October 1, 2024

I have a question, What did God say OK looks like?

I am posing this actual question to you: What did God say OK looks like? And not OK as in Oklahoma, LOL. I have a very dear friend in Tulsa who has been a blessing to me in several stages of my life. And yes I had to say that right now because I believe in acknowledgement, empowerment, and giving flowers to folks while they can smell them. Thank you also to Connie Jordan Photography for blessing me again. Anyway, I’m not talking about Oklahoma, I’m talking about OK as in settled, content, okay.

Welcome back to Live Full Die Empty, where we believe in filling our cups with purpose, not just coffee!

The Bible in 1 Peter 5:10 tells us that after you have suffered a while God Himself will strengthen, settle, and establish you. That’s a good reason to praise right there. Peter reminds us that in our walk with Christ we will go through things but AFTER we go through and get through those things, the Lord still has showers of good things in store for us. That means there’s purpose in it all. God ordained these things ahead of time to work something out of us or reveal something to us.

Many of you may have seen on the news that my area, the CSRA, has been hit really hard with a hurricane. Lots of trees down, lots and a lots of power outages and even some water outages are happening to my family, friends and church members. Still, I am completely convinced that these circumstances arise to make us better and wiser. Don’t get me wrong, it’s rough. And yet we still have our lives. No one was crushed by the tress that went down. No one was electrocuted or burned by power lines gone awry. No one drowned or got struck by lightning. God STILL deserves praise because He’s still good.

Quote:
Even in times like these, you’re going to understand that this is an opportunity to give God the kind of praise He so deserves.

This week’s quote comes from my Spiritual Father who I happen to believe is one of the wisest men living. Which leads me to my two-pronged Gratitude Point for the week: I am so so grateful to God for placing me under the leadership of Hezekiah Pressley, Jr. God knew what I needed in a leader and a father and He gave me more than I ever expected. And I have to add to that the fact that even though my mom and aunts, who are elderly, are without power right now, they are safe and dry. Even though my cousins are greatly inconvenienced and highly annoyed with what’s going on, they’re not on the streets cold and hungry. For that I give God praise! Hallelujah!!

So I’ll repeat again what my Dad said,
This is an opportunity to give God the kind of praise He deserves. God gives us strength, hope, and causes our freedom to be. God never left so let’s take a moment to glorify Him; let’s give Him the honor He’s so worthy of. He’s never been surprised. He’s never lost a battle. He’s still rocking with me. So I’m still rocking with Him. What about you?

Peace be unto you Friend.
