Peace Not Pieces

Peace Not Pieces October 8, 2024

I’m going to kick us off a little different this week. I know y’all just love when I switch it up right? LOL

Instead of a Quote of the week, I want to share with you some wars and phrases that are on my vision board. Check this out:

Now if you are tuned into the right frequency, then you know that God has spoken already.

Welcome back to Live Full Die Empty, where we believe in filling our cups with peace, not just coffee!

We serve a Big God who is able to do Big Things. He has never lost a battle; He literally cannot fail. And what I know for sure is that He is able to mend my broken pieces. And yours too. True, I know this from reading Bible stories which support my belief. But I also know this personally. He mended the broken pieces of my life, my marriage, and my ministry. Let me encourage you today that He will do the same for you. Just hold on and don’t give up!

When I wanted to turn my back on everything I knew, like what I thought marriage was supposed to be, how I thought a household should work and what I wanted God to do for me (in my selfishness) it was a result of my brokenness. I had to have a long talk with Jesus and a serious talk with my Dad.

I don’t think my Dad knows that he quotes Iyanla Vanzant, but he does. He often speaks of living life in peace and not pieces. And that’s the message I want to share with you today. Peace comes from knowing that no matter how many situations come to try to break you, no matter how shattered you may become, there is still hope that everything will come together. God will restore.

Peace is tied to the hope that is birthed out of faith and that is what our Christian walk is all about. We must work the work of the one who sent us. We must carry out the mission He stamped on our lives when He shaped us inside of our mothers. And we must do it with reverential fear. It’s not about cowering before an angry God who is a giant in the sky threatening to crush you. It’s also not about a genie in a bottle that you have to rub the right way and make the right wish.

David reminds us in chapter 34 of Psalms, [17] The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. [18] The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

I’m going to make my Gratitude Point for the week a little different as well. What I’m hearing from many of you is not complaining but more like sinking. You feel an emptiness. Let me remind you of something else, fulfillment starts with gratitude. If you look at the big picture of your life, you will see that God has been working all along and your blessings are abundant. I challenge you to meditate on those blessings. If you’re honest with your math you’ll see they are too many to count. Embrace that abundance today. Celebrate because you were created, not to survive but to thrive.

Peace be unto you Friend
