In that fullness, thanks for your offer, but really, I don’t need any presents. What, what is that you say? You would still like to give me a present? No really. It’s ok. Huh, are you sure? You still want to... Read more

This article was first posted, today, on Philosophical Fragments, a blog by philosopher Timothy Dalyrmple. It is a part of a series on answering the question, “Is It Time for Evangelicals to Stop Opposing Gay Marriage?” I am promoting the link on Philosophical Fragments for those who wish to engage in this conversation, because that is where I was asked to write it. However, I have reposted it here on my blog, because due to space, some minor parts were... Read more

As of today I have exciting news about the future of this blog… It will be moving to Patheos, the largest religion site on the interwebs. My blog will be housed in the Evangelical Portal with some heavy hitters such as Scot McKnight et. al. Today the contract was signed and the move is eminent – within the next two weeks everything will be up and running. And by “contract” I mean that there is a monetary value given in relation to... Read more

Personal experience is often one of the best teachers. When we come up short or mess things up in some capacity, it helps to inform our decisions and actions in the future. So for our next Living in the Tension gathering on October 8th, we’ll be sharing past experiences where we failed or messed up in some way related to attempts to build bridges and cultivate relationships with others that have had different sexual orientations, religious backgrounds, political affiliations, etc.... Read more

With National Coming out day around the corner next month, we thought that we would take our upcoming gathering on September 24th to share parts of our own stories. We’ll also talk about what it was like to be on the other side of... Read more
