I hate some people. It doesn’t make it right, it just makes it real. I’m not trying to self-justify my hate towards some in this world. I just need to get it off my chest. I know it’s strange… Andrew, you’re the one who preaches about love and reconciliation. What’s the deal with hate? Christians aren’t supposed to hate anyone. Don’t you tell us that, as Christians, we’re supposed to dignify the humanity in all people and see them as... Read more

The other day when I was writing my article on Howard Schultz, Starbucks Founder and CEO, regarding his cancellation of a speaking appearance at Willow Creek, I saw him on CNN talking about his disgust with the partisan politics happening that is ruining our economy, and country. Schultz, live on TV, said he was a registered Democrat, and is not only dissapointed in Obama, but decided to not give any money to political campaigns until our country’s economy turns around... Read more

As many of you know from Twitter and Facebook I was asked to go to the first day of Willow Creek Association’s Global Leadership Summit, as a special guest of Willow, to hear Bill Hybels response to Howard Schultz, founder and CEO of Starbucks, cancellation to appear at the Summit. I was then asked by the Washington Post to write an article about it. I did. The Post decided instead of the article being “event” specific, they would like different... Read more

Yesterday there was an article posted on Huffington Post by two young evangelical authors about LGBT activists wrongly using the word ‘hate’ to describe those with a conservative theological framework. I have a few thoughts: The article was written well with good thoughts. Thoughts that I do tend to agree with. But at the end of the day, coming from who wrote the article, they are just, well, written words. That’s all. It’s a million times easier to write about... Read more

The other day I had dinner with a dear friend. I’ve known this man for years and he is oh-so-close to me in all ways of life. I honestly believe God put us together. I write about him in my book, in fact, I dedicated the book to him. He has AIDS. In fact, he is one of the few living people that has the original strand of AIDS, from when it exploded in the 80s. He often recounts how all... Read more

Note – This is a completely fun and unscientific analysis of Amazon 🙂 Every author will tell you they don’t look at their Amazon ranking for a number of reasons like: –Ranking only takes into account the books (print or digital) sold on Amazon, and not in book stores or on Google Books or iBooks or the like; or –Because there are about 6 million books on Amazon the coding that determines the ranking takes into consideration tons of little... Read more
