In a trailer for his book, Apostate, evangelical pastor and Christian homeschool leader Kevin Swanson playacts a dystopian future in which he is in jail for being anti-gay. Seriously. Watch it. It’s amazing.
Yes, evangelicals like Swanson really do think they’re going to wind up in jail for being anti-gay. Because we put people in jail for being racist, right? Oh wait. We don’t. The most bizarre thing about this is the one who actually wants to clap people in jail is Swanson—in the book trailer he wistfully remembers the days when we had sodomy laws. You know, the laws that slapped people in jail.
