That is so totally me: enslaved to the shibboleths of the Catholic Right. No wonder I have gotten nothing but love and adulation all these years for stroking the feelings of torture apologists and celebrating our alliance with the great and good men and women of the GOP whose only thought has been for the welfare of children, the care of the poor, and the justice of war in Iraq.
