Good Morning! It’s Day 4 of the Quarterly Catholic and Enjoying It! Tin Cup Rattle 2015-01-01T14:56:23-07:00

Yesterday, you got to stand with me in my pointless struggle to have more followers than the evil Fr. Philip, meet Tom Curran, watch something call Meta-Ethical Subjectivism exhale great clouds of ASCII bafflegab into comboxes, experience the wonder of Dick Cheney’s gift for moral contemplation, see teens stampeded into a Herd of Independent Minds, pray for various folks who really need your prayers, slip and slide down the slippery slope, witness the entire history of Generation Narcissus in four cartoon panels, learn the place of rules in the life of grace, watch Frank Schaeffer summon the guts to face his adulators, cheer as John Schwenkler takes apart yet another dumb sophistry of the torture defenders and discover how relativism ends in tyranny. Today, you get to read the only review I’ve ever seen of a film loop, take apart still more sophistry, decode Vatican art for traces of evidence warning of my Rise as Antichrist, listen to soothing noises from Obama, watch diseased spiritualities clash, consider what gay penguins can teach us all about the glory of gay marriage, behold as a Jesuit anoints Obama Pope of America and ponder the testicular fortitude of fascists and Nazis. And, of course, there’s the convivial atmosphere of the comments boxes where you can promulgate your theories, fiddle while Rome burns, join me as find nothing/everything wrong with the Church, the country or me (depending on the critic) and (who knows?) meet the man or woman of your dreams!

Wouldn’t your eyes stream with tears if you lost that? Dry your eyes and click on the PayPal button to the left and help CAEI stay on the air and our kids stay clothed, housed, and fed. You can either make a straight donation or, if you like to get something for your money (something beyond this blog that you’ve come to love and depend on, I mean), you can buy my books and audio materials (autographed even!). And if you’d rather not do the PayPal thang, feel free to email me and ask for my snailmail address. I’ll happily take a check instead.

Also, don’t forget that I love to speak about the faith and can do it (on a wide variety of topics) for your parish, just as I will be doing it in eastern Washington, Virginia, Maryland and DC this month!
