Here’s something that sounds fun and could be a publishing opportunity for any budding reviewers in the house:
Might you be interested in a feature on Off Broadway’s newest hit production playing at the Westside Theater, 407 W. 43rd Street, THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS? Max McLean, the President of the Fellowship for the Performing Arts and the voice behind Listener’s Bible, stars as “Screwtape” in the production. The Fellowship for the Performing Arts’ mission is to create works of art with a religious worldview that appeals to a diverse audience. The popularity and following that this production has garnered since selling out its initial production in New York City, in Chicago, DC and playing to capacity audiences on its national tour this past Fall is remarkable.
The production is currently on sale through September 5 and has received some rave reviews from those who have attended thus far. The New York Times says “The Devil has rarely been given his due more perceptively and eruditely”; New York Post raves “As entertaining as it is thought-provoking…hell of a good time”; Elle writes “Brilliantly played by Max McLean…Hilarious Wit” and AP calls the show “Devilishly Funny!”
If’n one of you Noo Yawkuhs goes to see it and is inclined to pen a review, Mary Kochan at Catholic Exchange would like to see it and, possibly, publish it. Let her know if you are planning to do so.
