I am writing to you asking, from the very bottom of my heart, for a prayer… for healing my relationship with the man I love, reconciliation, dialogue, opening his heart to my love and a chance to make up for mistakes…
I will be grateful if you could support me with your prayer…The relationship is so important to me and I think only God’s miracle can help…

Can I ask your readers to prayer for a priest ? The man actually left the priesthood in 1998, apparently completely abandoned the Faith and entered into the homosexual lifestyle. He passed away recently, at the age of 47.

Bishop David Choby was admitted to St Thomas Hospital in Nashville today (Sept 9) and will have open heart surgery tomorrow. He’s been a true shepherd to his flock here in Nashville. I’d like to ask for prayers that he would recover fully and quickly. And may God grant him many long years as Bishop of Nashville.

Finally, a reader writes before her upcoming surgery:

This is an invitation to pray for me during this next development. Not just at the time of surgery, but also the days leading up to. I am to try and get off of prednisone and only take Tylenol to prepare and it means the next week could be a diffcult one.

Father, hear and answer these prayer according to what is best for each person involved, to the glory of your Name through Jesus Christ. Grant mercy and eternal rest to the dead, healing for the sick and grace for those dealing with the effects of sin and lovelessness in this world. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for us!
