Prayer Requests May 12, 2012

A reader writes:

Thank you and your readers for your prayers, and thank God for what he has done. It has been just over six weeks since I last binged and purged. This is amazing. It is a miracle.

My friend with myalgic encephalomyeltis has experienced some slight improvements, for which I thank God. She is still very sick and in immense pain, however. Please continue to pray for her.

Please also continue to pray for my suicidal friend. She is fighting, but things are very hard.

Thank you very much. God bless you.

Father, thank you for hearing our prayer for your daughter. Help her continue in grace. And help her friends come to complete healing in body, soul and spirit. Mother Mary, St. Dymphna and St. Luke, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please pray for 29-year-old daughter of a friend. The girl has been into heavy drinking since about age 15 or 16 – her parents only knew about it from about 18 – and now is suffering from pancreatitis. Next stage could be cirrhosis of the liver and death. She is struggling to stay away from alcohol and needs all the strength prayer can give her. She has a 4-year-old daughter dependent on her.

Father, hear our prayer for her complete healing in body, soul and spirit and for grace, consolation, peace, and strength for all who love her. Grant also your grace and help to her child. Mother Mary, St. Dymphna and St. Luke, pray for her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Another reader writes:

I’d asked if you could post a prayer request for my Dad and Mom as Dad was dying. The Lord took him Wednesday morning, and it was a peaceful passing.
Your readers’ prayers must be helping my mother, too, as she’s been doing much better than I’d expected.

Eternal rest grant him, Father, through Christ our Lord. Thank you for hearing our prayers for his wife and all who love him. Mother Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
