Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

We have a spiritual Camp (08.17-08.19.2012). To the Camp comes people who are alcoholics or drug addicts. I hope, that you praying that Jesus saves, heals and frees them. And that all will go well.

Father, hear our prayer for the success of this camp through Jesus Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for all who participate.

Another reader writes:

A friend of mine, Sophia, recently wrote with fabulous news, in her words:

“After much prayer and spiritual direction, I have discerned a religious vocation with the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist (www.sistersofmary.org). They have accepted me for entrance on August 28,2012.

In order to enter, I have to pay off or have the full amount of my loans pledged by the end of my third year in the convent. I’m begging for help from everyone I know! Can you share the link to my blog with your incredible Blessed Sacrament friends and EVERYONE else you can think of? www.psalm63ontheheart.wordpress.com

Know that you’re in my prayers, please remember me in yours.”

I know her from the summer she spent at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Seattle, and I assure you that she is an amazing person with a deep love for the LORD and His Blessed Mother.

Father, hear our prayer for your daughter as she follows your lead in her vocation. Mother Mary, pray for her. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Another reader writes:

I am a soon-to-be-recent graduate (August ’12) of Iowa State University with a degree in Philosophy, as well as a minor in Political Science. I was planning on taking at least a year off and either doing an internship or some service work before I returned to school to attempt to earn a graduate degree. (I also attempted to apply to be a FOCUS Missionary, but I was unable to attend the training due to my summer class) However, I have so far not had any good luck with finding a place to go next year, and I’m starting to get frustrated. I want something that will be good life experience as well as help me deepen my relationship with Christ. (Something that will help me get in to grad school wouldn’t hurt, too) Anyway, I humbly request some prayers, it will be greatly appreciated.

Father, hear our prayer that your servant may put his gifts and training to work for you and get into grad school through Jesus Christ. Mother Mary and St. Thomas Aquinas, pray for him.
