Prayer Request November 29, 2012

A reader writes:

Please pray for a friend of mine who suffered a collapsed lung recently. He is doing well as far as I know, but still has a tube in his lung and is not fully out of danger yet.

Father, hear our prayer for his complete healing, for his caregivers to treat him wisely and well, and for grace, peace, and strength for all who love him.  Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for him.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

I was wondering if you could ask your readers to pray for me.  I recently quit my job after being sexually harassed and retaliated against at work by the attacker, who happens to be the head of the organization.  I just want to move on and get a another job, but I am feeling really sad and depressed at the moment.  Please pray for my spirit and that I find a job.  I have been in several jobs in the past few years and have lost them due to the downturn in the economy and I am truly afraid that I will make another bad choice.  I had a really bad feeling about this person when I accepted the job a little over a year ago, but I accepted the position despite what my trepidation.  Also, please ask your readers to pray for him.  He really needs the prayers.

Father, hear our pray for your daughter that she can heal from this injustice, forgive her victimizer, and find a better job.  Bless her faithfulness to you and reward it abundantly.  Bless also her old boss.  Guide and provide for her and hear her pray for her old boss’ salvation and redemption.  Mother Mary, pray for them both.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

I was wondering If I could ask your readers to pray for the healing of my Uncle George.  He is battling cancer and it is not looking hopeful.  He’s been like a second father to me, I just wish I could bear it for him instead.  And also for my wife and I to be reunited soon.  We have been apart for nearly 8 months due to the immigration process.  I just feel so overwhelmed.

Father, we ask for the grace of healing for Uncle George or, if it be your will, the grace of a happy death.  Grant also that my reader have peace and strength through this trial and that he be swiftly reunited with his wife.  Give him grace, peace, strength, and clear wits to do your will and hand it all over to you.  Mother Mary, St. Luke, St. Peregrine, and St. Joseph, pray for all this needs.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
