A reader writes:
My co-worker/friend Christina’s husband Jeff found out he has advanced liver/colon cancer a few days ago. He’s young (40) with 4 children under the age of 6 (1 year old twins and one with special needs). Needless to say, it’s especially terrifying. Chemo is beginning immediately and they have very little community/family support. Praying for miracle.
Father, hear our prayer for Jeff’s complete healing in body, soul and spirit through Christ our Lord. Give grace, compassion, wisdom, skill, knowledge, understanding, and the best technology for treating this illness to his caregivers. Grant him and all who love him grace, peace, strength, faith, hope, and love through Christ our Lord. Be especially close to his wife and children. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for them. Amen.
