Follow up to Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I wrote to you a couple of weeks ago regarding my friend who had drowned. Thank you for posting my prayer request on your blog. Sadly, rescuers were unable to recover his body. We had a memorial service and a memorial Mass for him last week, but without a body, there is a definite lack of a sense of closure. Without that final, incontrovertible proof, the mind inevitably ends up coming up with all sorts of strange alternative scenarios to him being dead, no matter how implausible they are.
