Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I’m home from the hospital, but without my baby, who has to stay in the NICU a while longer because of a mysterious heart defect. It may not be as bad as we feared, but it is still scary and sad, and I miss him terribly. And I am frustrated that we have to go through this yet again. And I am tired of feeling like Job. And I’m just plain tired.

Father, hear our prayer that this baby would be completely healed in body, soul, and spirit. Give his caregivers grace, compassion, knowledge, skill, and the proper technology to help him heal. Give his parents and all who love him, especially his mother, grace, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope, and love. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
