Prayer Requests January 15, 2014

A reader writes:

Would you post a prayer request for my friend? Her young daughter has been very sick and went to the doctor today for the second time in four days. He sent her to the hospital and they discovered cervical abscesses that are compromising her airway. The hospital is sending her via airlift to another hospital farther away for surgery. I know my friend is very worried. Please pray for her daughter, my friend and her family (there are five kids back at home with her husband), and the doctors and nurses who will be caring for her daughter. Thank you!

Father, hear our prayer for this girl’s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit.  Give her caregivers grace, wisdom, knowledge, skill, understanding, compassion and the proper technology to help heal her.  Give her and all who love her grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, and love.  Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for them.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Another reader writes:

My uncle has an aggressive, rare gallbladder cancer, that has spread too far to operate on, and ther are other complications making chemotherapy untenable. He could have days, he could have weeks, there could be a miracle. Please pray for him. He is baptized but I don’t think he’s been practicing for a long time, and it seems that he won’t want to see a priest, either.

Please ask for the prayer of your readers, if it’s not too much trouble. I’ve been praying for the intercessions of Sts. Peregrine and Roch.

Father, hear our prayer for this man’s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit or, if that is not your will, for the grace of a happy death reconciled with you.  Give his caregivers grace, wisdom, knowledge, skill, understanding, compassion and the proper technology to help heal him.  Give him and all who love him grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, and love.  Mother Mary, Sts. Luke, Peregrine and Roch, pray for them.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
