Urgent Prayers for our Youngest Son, Sean

Urgent Prayers for our Youngest Son, Sean August 27, 2014

He’s in the hospital with severe abdominal pain.  Docs think it might be gallstones.  Please pray.  Thanks all.

Update:  He’s home and sleeping.  Pain meds have helped.  Still not clear idea what is wrong.  Not appendix.  Not gallstones.  But he’s doing better for now.  Thanks so much for your prayers, you guys!  Kinda tired today.

Upperdate: Sean seems to be fine now. So thank youse guys so much for your prayers! God be praised through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Kyrie Eleison. Hopefully it is just gallstones and not something worse (like needing gallbladder removed)

Certainly praying for him; I know from personal experience just how painful gall stones are. On the other hand, gall bladder removal is no longer any big deal. A generation ago, when mine was removed, I was in the hospital for 5 days and recuperating at home for three weeks. A few years ago, an older lady of my acquaintance had hers removed and she was out of the hospital in one day and dancing at a party in three days.

I had a kidney stone about 13 years ago. If gallstones are anything like that, ouch!! Praying!

  • Done. And I’m sorry, Mark.

Oh, I’m so sorry. That’s nerve racking. When I was young I used to suffer from abdominal pain, on and off again. They did a million tests…but nothing turned up. After a really painful attack on my 21st bday they finally zeroed in on my appendix. After the operation, the doctor said it had been leaking stuff for years, and was covered with scar tissue. He said they had to vacuum my abdominal cavity out –GROSS! It’s just strange that all of the standard tests were inconclusive with all that going on.
The hospital chaplain who came to see me was really funny, and told me that I should file a formal complaint with God–given the day it happened, and that I was 5 mo, preg. (Scar was huge because the surgeon couldn’t find it . You could see where he started his incision, stopped, and moved over to a new spot!)
The recovery was really quick, and I was relieved to be free of the pain once and for all.
Praying for Sean. (God Bless him, and help his doctors!)I hope they get to the bottom of it. A Second opinion might be in order.

Definitely will pray. Please keep us up. We’ve had a year of one health issue after another so I can imagine the concerns. Praying that all will be resolved, and all will be healed. Peace.

  • I only just heard – am glad Sean seems a bit better. I will continue to pray for him and you. And please do get some rest yourself!
