Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

We have Christmas celebration for inner-city people. It is 12.22.2014. We ask that you pray that God saves, heals and renews a lot of people and that all go well.

Father, hear our prayer that your word will be proclaimed and heard and that you work and will be done through Christ our Lord.  Mother Mary, pray for them!

Another reader writes:

Here I go with another prayer request. My cousin has a son who’s about 3 months old and is pretty de-hydrated. The baby is in the hospital and will be receiving surgery. Could ask people to pray for him. Also, pray for conversion of my cousins’s heart through this child. And conversion of the baby’s mother’s heart too. My cousin received adult confirmation about 2 years ago. But doesn’t really go to Mass. I was his sponsor, but I’ve strayed from the faith as well. My example as a sponsor is a bit cowardice on one hand – I don’t want to come off boring and someone who is not sharing the faith. As well as, I want to have the purest of intentions and really work in God’s way to bring him into his loving arms. I also hope and pray for the mother’s conversion as well. I know conversion is God’s offering, through love of His Son, to bring about conversion with respect to a man’s (and woman’s) free will. I know that God extends with open arms for them to come into His fold without forcing them. I pray for this, for them – Mother, Father, and Son. Please, if at the end of this, pray for me too. I may be able without fear, without discouragement, without distrust, without getting hurt so bad and falling into despair, and not to give up, not to feel sorry for myself, and not to stop loving Jesus. I need help to love too. Thank you and God Bless. Oh, by the way, Liam is their son and baby’s name.
