An updated prayer request for Kreed, please? It turns out he did not have a brain tumor, the swelling was caused by so much self-injury. His behavioral issues are still completely out of control; but thankfully they finally have doctors who believe in his physical symptoms instead of blaming everything on autism. Their current theory is that whatever disorder impairs his body’s regulation of other hormones such as cortisol and insulin is making his testosterone go haywire and causing the rages, so he’s being sent to a specialist. His parents are increasingly unable to protect him or themselves from the violent impulses, and they simply can’t institutionalize him because there is no facility anywhere in this country that would properly care for both his mental and physical issues; putting Kreed in a mental facility longterm would lead to his death by neglect.
In addition, the family has requested that if you follow Kreed’s facebook page, please don’t say “we’re praying for you” or “It will get better” or similar because they hear that at least thirty times a day and in this state of stress they can’t take it anymore.
Father, hear our prayer through your Son Jesus Christ. Mother Mary and St. Dymphna, pray for this family.
