Reader Gareth Peoples writes:

Today is my daughter Evie Peoples‘ 21st birthday. Four weeks ago, I attended a U2 concert with my two sons in Cleveland. Through a series of serendipitous circumstances, I was able to send a message to the band through one of their workers, who I met on Megabus to Chicago. I told them how much the performance meant to me in light of Evie’s death. The first concert I ever took her to was U2 in Cardiff for her 13th birthday, and hearing them play in Cleveland really lifted me up. This note is their text in response to my message to them. #lovemercyevie
