I would like to ask for prayers for my first cousin (second cousin to Veronica and Michaella Mylott), Stevie Pfenning, who is dying in Rutland Hospital (Vermont). He has received the anointing and he is on a ventilator at the moment, in a medically induced coma. He is in critical condition and the doctors do not expect him to live much longer. His lungs are giving out. Stevie has been on this prayer chain before and he rallied wonderfully, so he may be familiar to the prayer warriors. Thank you for all your support. He is in his early 70’s and a few weeks ago celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his childhood sweetheart, Louise, who is by his side now, even as her own dear sister is dying of brain cancer in the same hospital. Please keep Stevie and especially Louise, and their three children in prayer. Stevie is a very spiritual man. He had had a very bad car accident when he was much younger and he was responsible – the driver in the other car died. As a result of this, he grew very, very close to God. He is a warm and very loving person, and family means a great deal to him.
Thank you for speaking to God and His angels and saints as Steve finishes his earthly pilgrimage with us, and for accompanying him in prayer. Thank you for remembering Louise, as well. She is beside herself with grief and exhaustion.
Father, hear our prayer for Stevie and grant him either healing or the grace of a happy death. Hear also our prayer for Louise, their children, and all who love him. Grant them grace, peace, faith, hope, love and consolation through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for them.

First of all, I don’t think I’ve ever bothered to thank you for posting prayer requests at CAEI. I really appreciate you taking the time post prayers for anyone who sends you a request.
No sweat.
A friend of mine who is a few years behind me in college has been dreadfully sick. Nearly every semester she’s had at least one serious illness (bronchitis, pneumonia, influenza, mono, debilitating allergies, tendonitis, etc.) I saw her today, and she told me that her immune system is completely tied up with whatever it’s currently fighting (doctors haven’t determined what yet), and if she got another illness she would have to be hospitalized. And she has gotten multiple illnesses simultaneously in the past. Please pray she regains her health and finds whatever is causing her recurring ailments.
Father, hear our prayer for her complete healing in body, soul, and spirit. Give her caregivers grace, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, skill, and the proper technology to assist in healing her. Give all who love her the grace of your peace and consolation. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

I believe I previously asked for prayer requests for my sister, who was expecting her first child. I’m very happy to report that she delivered an apparently healthy 6lb 6oz boy this morning! He was so excited he came two weeks early.
Thanks be to God and many thanks for you and your readers’ prayers over these past months! He is Good!
Father, thanks and praise to you through our Lord Jesus Christ for this new baby!
