Great guy (as are all the folk who come to Chesterton conferences)! We chatted a bit and he told me about various initiatives he’s involved with to try to help renew American culture.
Today, he writes me with the details, and I’m passing the info on to you:
Below are links to the websites I work with. I gather video and quotes in order to update The Culture Alliance , as best I can, on a daily basis. I also produce TCA’s weekly update (which reminds me, I got to get cracking on that as it goes out each Wednesday – a nod to my comic book buying days – yeah, I’m a geek, or at least was when I had the disposable income). I would be glad to forward you a copy of TCA’s prospectus for your review and feedback. That document provides more detail our goals than is available at the website and includes an article by S.T. Karnick titled “Culture, Liberty, and Responsibility – An Overview.”
I blog infrequently at Modern Conservative, mostly on pop culture. One of my better pieces, if I do say so myself, was cross-posted to Sam Karnick’s site The American Culture, titled “Community in Gran Torino.”
Check thou it out!
Chesterton conferences are great places to meet folk who just aren’t very interested in being in tune with the Zeitgeist. I like that. A lot.
