So that’s it for today. However, I did want to be sure to post this prayer request from a reader:
A happy prayer request! A young man from Virginia, that this middle aged fellow from Pennsylvania met in Kansas while we volunteered for a church related group, is contemplating the priesthood (though probably not the indignities one must endure these days to get admitted to a seminary) and asked for prayer support. He will have some growing up to do in the meantime, but I suspect that 30 years from now he could be the beloved, wise and gentle pastor of a medium sized parish somewhere.
Father, hear our prayer for you son as he seeks to do your will through Jesus Christ. If you are calling him to the priesthood than make his path and fill him with your actual graces so that he might do your work well and bring glory to your name. Thank you for our priest faithful and good priests and seminarians. Mother Mary, pray for them all, especially this man. We ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
