Last week’s book was a history of the Archdiocese of New York, and this week’s book profiles the Brooklyn Diocese. Written in 2004 to the commemorate the diocese’s sesquicentennial celebration, the book is a lavishly illustrated history of the Catholic experience in Brooklyn and Queens and should be of interest to all Brooklynites past and present. It’s available through the Diocesan Archives for $35 (includes s&h;), and anyone interested should call (718) 965-7300 x 1002 or email [email protected]. (It’s also co-authored by a certain blogging historian!)
