I have honored this custom more in the breach than the observance lately, but it used to be my custom every year during the Christmas season to post an arrangement of my favorite Christmas carol, “Joy to the World,” because its third verse is so deeply connected to God’s grace in our daily work:
No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found.
I’m going to start the custom up again (even though we’ve just passed Epiphany….shh…). Here’s a lovely arrangement from Hymns of Grace.
