A while ago I read a great book called Also a Mother: Work and Family as Theological Dilemma by Bonnie J. Miller-McLemore. I recommend it. MISSION:WORK has offered some similar reflections in the past.
Last week I was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church (on April Fool’s Day, although it was not a joke!) I thought about Miller-McLemore’s book when I got to look at the pictures on my mother-in-law’s iPhone. The person holding the iPhone used the feature that takes a photo every five seconds. What we got was almost like a flip book combining immanence and transcendence (to quote one of my Facebook friends. Yes, my Facebook friends use long words.) Here are a few.
