I know you’re super backed up right now, but your insight is so clear and valuable that I can’t help but ask you yet another question!
I’m not really sure how to put this, so I guess I’ll just be blunt.
I’m 7.5 months pregnant and because of my protruding belly, I haven’t been able to see my nether regions in quite some time.
As you can imagine, this has left me in dire need of a good shave! My husband says he doesn’t mind, but it makes me feel unkempt and frankly, masculine.
that being said, I was wondering what your opinion is on bikini waxes? I’ve read on a lot of pregnancy websites that getting a wax is MUCH easier than trying to shave an area that you can’t see; which makes sense to me. But I’m wondering what your opinion is on how bikini waxes and garments mix (or don’t mix, for that matter.)
Do you feel that taking off my garments to get a bikini wax would be inappropriate?
I know the Church says that the way we wear our garments is between us and the Lord, but I’d love to know your opinion! Thanks so much!
Again, this is a quick one so I’ll respond out of order. Plus, if I wait my normal 6-8 weeks, you will already have a baby by then. 🙂
There is a lot of value to almost anything that will help you feel more attractive when you are almost 8 months pregnant. All joking aside, whether or not you want to get a bikini wax is -in my opinion- a completely personal decision. Many women choose this form of depilation as part of their physical hygiene regardless of whether or not they are pregnant. Make sure you go to a reputable spa/salon where proper hygienic measures are taken. As far as garments, I would treat this similarly to other procedures such as gynecological or other physical exams (i.e. x-rays, surgery, labor, etc.). I know LDS women who do not wear their garments at all to these types of appointments due to privacy issues. Others wear their garments but make sure to keep them in a private place once they are asked to disrobe – putting them back on once they are done. You should be able to change both in and out of your clothes in a private setting at these types of locations. So the choice depends on what you are most comfortable with.
Good luck with your new baby and congratulations! I am sure that -even though you may not agree- your pregnancy heightens the natural beauty you already possess.
