To our darling daughter,

You are the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to us. We waited a long time to have a special someone enter our lives and when you did you, made our lives so much better in every possible way.

Every time we look at you, we realize how we have been blessed and how incredibly lucky we are to have you. Your laughter and smiles bring warmth and happiness to us each and every single day.

You are only 2 now, but one day you will be older and you will be able to read this for yourself. We just want you to know how loved you are, not only by us, but by everyone in the family.

By now you will understand what being adopted means, and you may not be quite sure how to feel about it. We understand, because your Mummy is also adopted. Just because you came into our lives in a different way, it doesn’t mean you were any less wanted or special; in fact, you were probably more wanted.

Sometimes some people may not understand and may be mean or say hurtful things. If they make you sad, come to us and tell us. People say mean things when they don’t know what to say or they don’t understand a situation.

If you have any questions, come to us. We will always be open and honest with you and never hide anything from you.
