Keep Sensory Sensitivities in Mind and Create a Quiet Room

For kids who can’t keep up through a whole prayer, a children’s program including a quiet area might be best. Some autistic kids can focus on a solitary activity if noise is kept to a minimum. Parents should supply the child with a favorite book or quiet activity. And neurotypical kids might like a quiet space as well. This might not work for kids who are hyperactive (ah, darling Zak), but it will help some. Your friendly neighborhood ASAN member might have some ideas for adults who can’t keep up with the prayers.
