Last night we had friends over, drinking wine and talking, while in the background Gordon Lightfoot played on my stereo. I love all kinds of music and wouldn’t normally listen to Gordon on a daily basis. But whenever I listen to him it throws me back to my youth when he was on the radio. It reminds me of going on fishing trips with my friends to the remote lakes in northern Ontario, drinking beer in an old cabin, listening to Gordon on a transistor radio.
