On this Yom Kippur, there will be no forgiveness for Bibi Netanyahu.
Yom Kippur, is a day when our heart is invited to focus on forgiveness, atonement and self-reflection.
Bibi’s Yom Kippur will not offer him Forgiveness nor atonement.
His lack of action and signing a deal to return the hostages held in Gaza is unpardonable.
Amongst them Keith Seigel, a dear man, brother to a beloved friend of mine.
He abandoned the people of Israel, his country,
on Oct 7TH.
The day a massacre of 1200 people and 250 were abducted.
A horror that could have been avoided.
If only Bibi cared about his people as much as he cared about his power.
He holds no responsibility for the deaths of so many in Gaza, and now Lebanon.
Neither for ignoring tens of thousands of people in Israel. that have remained misplaced.
How can we forgive someone who feels he or she has nothing to atone for?
Yom Kippur is a wonderful opportunity to release the soul from the claws of guilt.
My belief is that atoning and asking for amends frees and opens the heart.
To receive forgiveness is a gift.
But first one must take responsibility for what they have done.
Bibi Netanyahu has yet to take responsibility for any of the failures and betrayals of Oct. 7th.
How can we forgive someone who feels he or she has nothing to atone for?
Just as the hostages have no privileges, forgiveness is not one given to Bibi.
I am writing this two days after the year anniversary of that horrific black Oct day.
Rosh-Hashana has ended, a new year has begun.
Yom Kippur awaits.
A day, designated to give yourself spiritual focus.
However, this year, my brothers and sisters in the tunnels of Gaza won’t have that privilege.
Yom Kippur a day when we fast, cleansing both body and soul.
But, 101 precious souls are forced to starve, fasting would be a privilege.
Just as they have no privileges, Bibi will be denied forgiveness.
Bibi must sign the deal and bring all the hostages home.
Yom Kippur will not hold the same solemn spirit as past years.
There is too much grief and sorrow.
Until the hostages are released home, healing cannot begin.
Firstly, Bibi must sign the deal and bring all the hostages home.
For Netanyahu’s inaction there is no room for forgiveness.
Yet, I refuse to give up on hope, it is born every morning anew.
In the words of Rachel Goldberg Polin mother of murdered hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin:
“Hope is mandatory”.
I am creator of the “Morning Inspiration” series, which provides readers with reflections and thoughts to start their day with spiritual inspiration.
If you feel the calling to receive it you can do so here
