All of us, except maybe Matt, are beating back a cold. It's been three days of most everyone lying around and having no energy but with lots of coughing and sneezing. Nevertheless, we press on, hopefully not to fall way too far behind in school and regular life. We didn't finish school yesterday until Four O'clock, (hysterical sobbing) and then I started slinging ground beef around trying to make spaghetti and tacos at the same time. Because, you know, Taco Tuesday. There was some concern that we can't participate in Taco Tuesday because we are not at Camp of the Woods, that being the main location in the world for Taco Tuesday. I didn't know this. I thought Taco Tuesday was for the whole world and that even in Binghamton tacos could be eaten on Tuesdays. It was ok, but three out of six children were pretty upset, or something.
Of course, once having sat down, Matt and I were reminded once again why Taco Tuesday is kind of a pain. It's fine to eat tacos with a nice group of people who can function in reality. But a whole bevy of kids who eat the wretched tacos quickly, so that as soon as you have helped one with their taco, another child starts shouting that they Want Another Taco With Cheese With Cheese No Meat No Meat gets old pretty quick. It's why I won't do soft boiled eggs and biscuits until everyone can do their own egg, I don't care how much their childhood is destroyed. It's just not going to happen. Probably not even for birthdays.
So anyway, the above picture is how we all feel, and have been feeling. And it sounds like there is ice falling out of the sky, so that's super fun.
Have a lovely day!
