Sudanese Court Orders Release of Meriam Ibrahim, Who was Sentenced to Death for Her Christian Faith June 23, 2014

 

SUNA, Sudan’s official news agency, says that the Court of Cassation in Khartoum has canceled the death sentence against Meriam Ibrahim. The court has also ordered her release.

Miss Ibrahim, who has a Muslim father, was raised by her Christian mother. She was convicted of apostasy for marrying a Christian and given a death sentence. She was 8 months pregnant at the time.

  2. It’s great yet ISIS is slaughtering Shia and Christians daily in Iraq and Syria. It is wonderful…but the overall picture is horrifying. Meriam is a martyr by intention in God’s eyes because she held fast while the young girls in Nigeria sang the Koran. Meriam is breathtaking…even in Heaven’s eyes.
