Mama Sick. Taking a Break. Be Back Next Week.

Mama Sick. Taking a Break. Be Back Next Week. October 2, 2018

Taking a break for the rest of this week.

I’m negotiating a crisis in my  mother’s health and I am tapped out both physically and emotionally right now. I’m going to take a break for a few days so that I can focus entirely on taking care of her.

I want to write about the FBI investigation into the Kavanaugh sexual assault accusations when it’s completed. I can say that if the investigation is as thorough and well-done as most FBI work, I am prepared to accept its conclusions, either way. I will read it first, and weigh the various reactions, but, unless there are legitimate questions of some sort, I will accept what it finds.

In the meantime, know that you are always in my prayers my friends.

  1. I’ll pray for you to return relaxed refreshed and with your mother’s situation completely taken care of.

  2. Thinking of you and your Mom. Sending positive thoughts to you both. Look forward to your return, but family comes first!

  3. She her pneumonia is gone for now and she’s sitting up in a wheelchair and participating in activities. She’s feeding herself now. She is also happy and not in pain, which is most important to me.

My mother-in-law has also developed dementia and her husband has cancer. Right now, they are still in their home. Her husband has to watch her all the time, or she will wander off, but he wants her with him at all costs.

  4. Am so glad to hear your Mom is much better! Not happy to hear of your mother-in-law and her husband. That’s hard. My sister-in-law also has dementia, and has to be watched all the time. She is currently living with her daughter, and they have someone who stays with her while my niece works. I’m not sure how long they can keep that situation up before she needs to be placed in a Memory Unit. My husband had dementia, but his version didn’t include the need to wander.
