Rep Al Green is the Only Pro Life Person in Congress

What in tarnation was that?

Trump stood in the House Chamber Tuesday and droned on for almost 2 hours, lying, threatening, bragging, bullying endlessly in that old man’s sing-song of his …

… and his slavish Republican puppet politicians jumped to their feet and applauded adoringly at every bullying threat, lie, and brag he sing-songed out …

… and the Democrats, who evidently took a whole bottle of idiot pills earlier in the day, held up little paddle sign thingies that looked either like bids at an auction or maybe those fans with logos on them that merchants hand out at sporting events when one of his continuous lies caught their attention. 

The only time in the whole sorry spectacle when someone acted like a free American who was properly outraged at the destruction that this aging gasbag and his puppets are enacting on this country was when Representative Al Green of Texas stood and yelled “You don’t have a mandate to cut Medicaid!” 

Now, Republicans, notably Marjorie Taylor Green and Lauren Boebert, yelled all kinds of garbage during Biden’s speeches and all that happened was Biden talked back to them. But Republicans are police-staters from jump street. They had Representative Green hauled out of the chamber and then today they voted to censure him. They showed him. Big tough guys, these Repubs. 

Representative Al Green was without question the only pro life person in the chamber. He explained later that Medicaid provides medical care for people who won’t get it otherwise. He didn’t specifically mention pregnant women, but he could have. If Trump and his Republicans do away with Medicaid — and they are working hard to do it — they are going to kill many thousands of people — and they know it. 

All the whore preachers, and all the little MAGA who put Trump ahead of Jesus have a hand in this destruction. Every day they continue to back it, they own it a little more.

I am pro life and I’ve got the scars to prove it. Being pro life means YOU. DON’T. KILL. PEOPLE. You especially don’t kill people for money. 

You totally and absolutely don’t kill people so that Elon, Jeff, Mark and Peter can buy themselves another yacht.

I served in a legislative body for 18 years. I have passed more laws than I remember. I would hope that if I had been sitting in that chamber I would have done what Rep Green did, and if he got to it first, I would hope that I would have had the gumption to get up off my Southside behind and walk out right along behind the guards who took him out of the place. 

As a former legislator, I can tell you I would be proud to be censured for standing up against an attempt to kill thousands of American men, women and children in order to feed the greed of a few billionaires. I would despise myself and fall on my knees and ask God to forgive me if I didn’t stand up against that. 

My only question about that execrable speech we heard is what the tarnation was that?

Don’t tell me you are pro life and you support this stuff. 

You can’t kill people for money and be pro life.
