ICE is flush with money.
Trump’s “big beautiful bill” will end health insurance for 15 million Americans and raise health care costs for the rest of us. It will shut down many of our hospitals, take money out of advance warning systems for storms and cut FEMA which helps us dig out from disasters.
It addition, it depletes Social Security funds, takes a ton of funding out of Medicare, ends the requirements for decent staffing in nursing homes, rolls back efforts to get cheaper prescription drugs, and curtails the program which helps extremely poor elderly afford Medicare premiums.
The “big, beautiful bill” was written and passed into law for the purpose of taking money out of the pockets of working people. It’s the bleed us dry bill.
But hey, all is not lost.
Billionaires got a huge tax cut. And all these years we’ve listened to Republicans carrying on about the deficit may finally be over. Trump and his whore media say the bill reduces the deficit, but that’s just another one of their lies. The truth is, the big, beautiful bill’s giveaways to the rich adds $3.4 trillion (That’s TRILLION … with a T) to America’s deficit.
Another big win for some people (but not you and me) is that Jeff, Mark and Elon can now buy themselves bigger yachts and private countries instead of private islands. They can launch rocket ships all day, every day, and they can buy senators, Supreme Court justices and the next president out of their chump change. All on our dime.
The icing on this smelly cake is that now Trump will be able to put his own private army of masked thugs on the streets to knock heads and drag anybody they want off to a concentration camp.
What sorrow awaits the unjust judges and those who issue unfair laws. They deprive the poor of justice and deny the rights of the needy among my people.They prey on widows and take advantage of orphans. Isaiah 10: 1-2
A lot of Americans are going to die from all manner of treatable illnesses, storms they weren’t warned about, and what not to pay for it, but ICE is rolling in dough.
Right now, Trump’s regime is working feverishly to recruit 10,000 ICE agents so he can put his shiny new Gestapo to work busting in car windows, beating up bystanders, haunting court houses, grabbing people off their jobs, out of their churches and while they’re just walking down the street.
He says he wants to build copies of Alligator Alcatraz all over this fair land of ours.
Think about it.
You won’t have to go to Europe to feel the haunted atmosphere of a concentration camp. You may end up with a concentration camp right down the street from where you live.
You can be like the people who lived in Dachau, who said they never knew what was happening. When this is over, you can lie and deny, just like them.
Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow. Deuteronomy 27: 19
Of course, when you stand before God — and whether you want to think about it or not, that is where all of us are going to end up — when you stand there before the Almighty and He shows you a replay of your life, lying and denying won’t be an option.
All you will be able to say is “guilty.”
Trump and his puppets claim that they are only kidnapping rapists, violent gang members and murderers off the streets. But that’s just another one of his lies.
Think it through.
He’s talking about hiring what amounts to an army of thugs who are willing to wear masks and go out and grab people. He’s said he plans to build a whole system of camps in several states to house all his new prisoners. There aren’t that many violent criminals in this country. There just aren’t.
Besides, we’ve all seen the videos of ICE; threatening, busting windows, beating people up and dragging them away. The people ICE is kidnapping in those videos aren’t gang members. They’re church ladies, and grannies, and little kids, and men in work clothes. The only criminals in those videos are the ICE agents.
It must be said clearly: There are those who work systematically and with every means possible to repel migrants. And this, when done with awareness and responsibility, is a grave sin. Pope Francis
Even if there was some vague semblance of truth to this wild story of all the millions of rapists and mass murderers supposedly disguising themselves as elderly women and little girls or hiding out among the lettuce pickers, that does not mean the government can start randomly grabbing people off the streets and putting them in prison without a shred of proof or any charges of wrongdoing.
It also absolutely does not mean that the government can lock people up without a sentence, just letting them rot forever.
That is the definition of a concentration camp.
A prison is where people who have been formally charged of violating real laws, convicted in open courts by the presentation of actual evidence that (1) a crime was committed and (2) this person committed that crime, are then sentenced in public, in court, in writing, and in accordance with the law to serve a specific period of time in an actual prison.
The prison itself is governed by actual, adjudicated laws. Putting people in prison means you do it by following the rules.
When the government grabs people at random and locks them up because the tyrants running the government say so, and keeps them locked up until they die or the tyrants running the government change their minds, that’s a concentration camp. It’s also a dictatorship. It’s tyranny.
In that kind of government, no one is safe.
MAGA I know don’t believe that. They think Trump is going to persecute other people and they will be safe. They hate hispanics and they are perfectly willing to destroy America to get at them. They wouldn’t care if Trump ordered ICE to start mass executions. They would support it. But the truth is, no one, not even the dictator’s most ardent support, is safe in a ruthless dictatorship.
Trump is already using his puppet “justice” department to “investigate” and pursue people in order to settle his personal grudges and intimidate his opposition. Both he and Congressional Republicans are repeatedly threatening to take away the citizenship of people they don’t like, and to “investigate” anyone who angers them.
Trump has troops and FBI agents patrolling DC right now. They look like fools, walking around, all armored up and threatening, in the peaceful streets of our capitol. But the threat to our freedom from this rogue president is there, for anyone to see.
Republicans are not hiding their plan to use government power, including ICE, against anyone who crosses them. They’re doing it, right in front of us. That’s a police state.
This has never happened in America before. This is the nightmare of Nazi Germany and Pinochet. It’s not America.
But here we are.
ICE is Trump’s Gestapo, roaming our streets, grabbing people without charge or a day in court and putting them in concentration camps with no hope of release.
ICE is flush with our money that was taken away from us and the things we need to survive by a don’t-care-what-anybody-thinks Republican-run Congress.
They are offering a $50,000 signing bonus (which is, again, our money) to anyone who wants to put on a mask and become a subhuman monster.
Nobody is being forced to sell their souls and join ICE. You have to volunteer.
Nobody was conscripted into the Gestapo. They volunteered.
That’s the way it always is when someone goes to hell. God doesn’t send them there. They volunteer.
