Homan says Trump will End “Surge” in Minneapolis

Americans are not that easy to push around.

I have a friend who predicted from day one that if the Mad King tried to go head to head with the American people, he would be starting a fight that he could not win.

All over the country, everywhere they’ve gone with one of their “surges,” ICE has been fought. The resistors have used humor by dressing up as ducks, and whistles, songs and prayer. But they have never quit, not even when ICE turned to homicidal violence.

The resistance has not been supported by guns and tanks. It’s support has come from the strength of character of the American people and the moral teaching and actions of  faith leaders, including the Catholic Bishops and the Pope.

You never know from one moment to the next what the Mad King will do. He’s like a mean, crazy duck who wakes up in a brand new world every morning. But for right now, the news is that ICE will be withdrawing its “surge” from Minneapolis.

Tom Homan, the “Border Czar” who took a $50,000 bribe in an FBI sting, told the press today “I have proposed, and President Trump has concurred that this surge operation conclude.”

Of course, there were a few self-serving lies larded on about how this really wasn’t what it obviously really was. But the truth is that the Mad King and his masked army got their butts beat by Americans with whistles doing what Americans have always done, and that is defending their freedom against a tyrant.

This is just one battle in what promises to be a long fight to save American freedom and human dignity from the man who would be king and tyrant for real. There are serious plans to use “election reform” to stop millions of Americans all over the country from electing who they want by making it impossible for us to vote.

But Minneapolis has shown us one thing for sure. Americans are not like other people. We fight back.

From The Guardian:

The Trump administration has claimed it is drawing down its immigration crackdown in Minnesota that led to the death of two US citizens, mass detentions and widespread protests.

The move was announced by Tom Homan, the US border czar, at a press briefing on Thursday.

“I have proposed, and President Trump has concurred that this surge operation conclude,” Homan said, claiming that “a significant drawdown” has already been underway this week and will continue to the next week.

Agents in Minnesota will be returned to their normal duties or assigned elsewhere, Homan said. The number of agents in Minnesota will return to normal levels, which is about 100 agents, officials have previously said. But security teams will stay in place to respond to what Homan called “agitators” who oppose immigration agents’ work in the state.

Homan said he will remain on the ground in Minnesota for “a little longer” to oversee the drawdown of agents.
