Between the Ideal and the Reality Falls the Pastoral Challenge

So, aside from tossing the sacraments overboard and re-writing the Gospels to reflect the daily zeitgeist, how does the Church deal with 2 billion messed up and very needy lives?

Look at any person, it doesn’t matter which person, and you will be looking at someone who has been hurt 

sad world, when people align themselves according to their fidelity to various group hatreds.
