Angel, a media and technology company guided by two million grassroots Angel Guild members championing values-driven stories, is now streaming its animated family musical “DAVID” on Angel.com and in the Angel app for all Angel Guild members to enjoy.
“DAVID,” which grossed nearly $80 million at the domestic box office, became the highest grossing faith based animated theatrical musical of all-time and achieved the best three day theatrical opening in Angel’s history. The film earned a 98% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes as well as an A CinemaScore. “DAVID”‘s soundtrack also cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard Christian Album Chart. It landed at No. 35 for the top movies of the year 2025, ahead of other animated titles such as “Paddington in Peru” and “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.”
The “DAVID” Soundtrack, which features music from the film by multi-platinum artist Phil Wickham, captivated listeners by achieving more than 20 million streams and charting in the top 10 on the Billboard Top Christian/gospel album charts for the past three weeks.
