Lastly, most normal relationships don’t work out. Yes I know what you’re thinking. Why propose if you’re not positive she’s the one? Valid question. I realize that you shouldn’t propose to someone if you’re not certain that they’re the one for you, but I can understand the guys who have felt the pressure to propose at the end of the show. You’ve just completed a three month “journey” that will be televised to millions of people and you have the chance to cap it off by proposing to the girl you fell in love with in one of the most beautiful locations on earth with a Neil Lane ring. Not to mention, you know the producers and network want the fairy tale ending as well. At the end of the day, your relationship doesn’t really start until you’re off of the show. It’s a little backwards considering most are engaged… but it’s the truth.

But I don’t want it to seem like I’m a cynic. I found my beautiful wife on The Bachelor and four other happily married couples have done the same, and I’ll continue rooting for every future bachelor and bachelorette to be as lucky as I have been!
